Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
Programming and participating in Agile Sprints (stories) in a SCRUM environment
Breakout of work:
40% JAVA Programming (application development focused in Java Development Kit)
40% NoSQL database work (not building table structures but understanding how it sits in the database, how new fields may impact the DB, etc.)
Azure Cosmos DB preferred but not required
20% Kafka message streaming work
No front-end work expected/done in this team/project
What are the must-have technologies/required experience for the position:
JAVA
Java Development Kit specifically (they are using v. 11 and working to move to v. 17)
Spring Boot/Spring Batch
NoSQL
Azure Cosmos DB preferred but not required if they no Mongo or another NoSQL DB
Kafka
Basic understanding of Cloud/DevOps
They have to be able to deploy themselves as they don’t have a DevOps dedicated team for this but can use the
Nice to haves/Preferred Skills:

Bachelors Degree
