EHR
Analyst II, Clinical Device Integration
is to provide expert level support, installation, troubleshooting & configuration of hardware/software/networks related to medical devices. These responsibilities include but are not limited to hands-on design, build and testing of workflows and functionality; identifying and executing on system continuous improvement opportunities; participation in build and support for system upgrades; support of applications users; and assisting in the implementation of all Clinical/Biomedical device integration projects and initiatives as assigned. Responsibilities: Technical Supports integration of currently installed and interfaced medical devices, including but not limited to ventilators, anesthesia delivery machines, patient monitoring and dialysis equipment. Collaborates with biomedical device vendors, middleware vendor, as well as internal technical resources and biomedical engineering staff to establish and maintain device connectivity and data integrity. Manages software lifecycle for middleware solution, ensuring that both servers and endpoint hardware remain up to date with the latest software and applicable patches. Analyzes current and future state needs and plans infrastructure accordingly to grow with the needs of the organization. Actively collaborates with Epic team to accommodate the addition of new devices and troubleshooting reported issues with incoming vitals data. Analysis and Solution Definition
Work with Systems Managers/Directors/etc. and the entire Project Team, to collect, analyze and document business operations and workflow. Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry. Assists in development of system documentation, user manuals and training classes for application suite. Engages with testing efforts and ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. Analyze new functionality in new releases to identify impact and opportunities. Project Execution Evaluates current state processes and identifies gaps to future state process around application use to maximize departmental and organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Make recommendations, review and test changes, enhancements, and each new release as assigned. Ensure test scripts have been created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions. Assist with defining, testing, and implementing interfaces with third party system, and develop effective end-to-end workflows around the interfaces. Communication Assists in the facilitation of team and client meetings. Demonstrates ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and across teams to achieve goals. Problem Solving Provides ongoing analysis, maintenance, and technical and functional support for systems throughout the organization. Provides technical guidance to identify system deficiencies and analyze system problems and solutions. Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems. Collaborates with business stakeholders to introduce innovative solutions.
Qualifications: Education & Experience: Degree and/or licensure in applicable business area. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of three years experience, in either operational or IT applications support for applicable business area. Minimum of two years in IT implementing and supporting applications, hardware, or networking. Experience with workflow and operations within a hospital or health system. Experience designing and supporting Epic systems and integration with third party applications preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong understanding in the areas of application technology, architecture, database, and system design. Proven ability to understand business issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions. Participate in after-hours support On-Call rotation. Ability to travel up to 25%. Excellent communication skills written and verbal Must be self-motivated and have strong organizational skills Ability to work with a team and actively contribute to complete tasks and meet team goals
