Our Mission As an academic health care system, we will transform the health of the communities we serve through compassionate, innovative, patient-centered care. Responsibilities: Evaluates, processes, tracks, documents and coordinates patient transfers and direct admissions into UofL Health Hospitals. Obtains appropriate medical and demographic information from sending provider. Coordinates communication between referring physicians, and the accepting physician Ensures compliance with current EMTALA and Cobra guidelines. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with physicians and peers in order to provide excellent patient experience. Assigns appropriate bed placement for patients in ED. PACU, clincs and outlying facilities. Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedurs and standards of conduct. Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) Associate degree from accredited college or University Two years of nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University Five years of nursing experience Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
