We are proud the equipment and systems we design, build, maintain, and operate are making the world a better place and creating a more sustainable environment for future generations.We have a current opening for a Laborer / Materials Prep person who is responsible to cut, drill, deburr, grind preparation of metal surfaces for industrial processes. This position is Monday - Thursday, 10 hours per day.**Essential Job Functions*** Use measuring devices i.e. tape measure, micrometer, drills, grinder and de-burring equipment* Operate band saw* Operate lift trucks* Operate overhead cranes* Maintain yard inventory in an orderly manner* Performs maintenance on associated equipment to ensure all remains in proper working order* Other duties as requested**Minimum Qualifications:*** High School diploma or equivalent* Knowledge of raw material and alloys* Knowledge of basic hand and/or power tools* Knowledge surface preparation, operation of lift truck and general shop and yard maintenance* Ability to understand and follow directions* Ability to work independently to specifications from instructions, prints, and drawings.**Preferred Qualification:*** Background in steel fabrication* Welding (FCAW, SMAW, GMAW)**Physical Requirements*** Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for up to 3 minutes at a time* Standing - most all the time while performing duties* Walking-carrying prepared parts 75-100 ft.* Climbing/balancing - Occasionally* Stooping/crawling-sometimes while fitting* Reaching/handling-most all the time* Speaking/hearing-pay attention to surrounding noises* Seeing-wearing personal safety equipment*WesTech considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.***Travel Required**No . **Qualifications****Skills****Behaviors****:****Motivations****:****Education****Experience****Licenses & Certifications**
