DescriptionNashville General Hospital is hiring for a Full Time Forensic Registered Nurse (RN), Med/Surg in Nashville, Tennessee. We are offering up to a $10,000 sign on bonus. Day or Night shifts available. Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced Forensic Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical Unit who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and family member. This is an 18-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio. As a Forensic RN you will: Compassionately communicating with patients and family members. Admitting and assessing patientsAdministering medication and treatmentsMonitoring vital signs and symptomsRunning and ordering testsCoordinating care with Physicians and SpecialistsCharting Patient ProgressRequired Skills & Qualifications: Paying attention to detail and staying organized when managing patient care and record keepingAdmitting and assessing patientsCompassionately communicating with patients and family members. Administering medication and treatmentsMonitoring vital signs and symptomsRunning and ordering testsCoordinating care with Physicians and SpecialistsCharting Patient ProgressUnderstanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practicesAssessing patient condition and noting it accurately according to the facility's charting practicesGraduate of an accredited associate degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. Employee must have valid BLS upon hire.
