Our Senior Developer Advocates are technical leaders and mentors that anchor our teams. They own projects from beginning to end, facilitating collaboration and enabling Datadog's community to solve real-world problems. With a focus on Cloud (AWS), you will have the opportunity to work with key leaders across the industry, and broaden your impact to the cloud native community at large. This is a unique opportunity to leverage both your engineering and creative storytelling skills to shape the landscape in cloud observability and monitoring.

What You'll Do:
Speak at conferences, meetups, webinars, and partner events to educate developers in cloudCreate content in one or more modes to build Datadog's reputation as a leader in DevOps, Monitoring, Observability and Security e.g. building demos, public speaking, blogging, documentation, webinars, open source, research reports and moreWork closely with Datadog's Cloud Alliances team and industry partners as a trusted advisor for technical contentPartner with product engineering teams to build compelling demos, and coach internal engineering teams on effective communication and presentationContribute to the product through feedback (bugs or product enhancements suggestions), documentation, or codeIdentify and pursue opportunities for events, programs, and other community-focused work that establishes trust with developersWho You Are:
You think in ecosystems, not productsYou love to integrate different technologies and connect people10+ years experience as a software developer, SRE, or other practitioner; including building and maintaining production systems with AWS services3+ years of experience in storytelling and creating compelling content e.g. written content, conference talks, leading workshops, live streaming or recording videos, contributing to open source, and participating in community eventsAble to communicate with technical users of all skill levels, from junior developers to CTOsYou enjoy self driven exploration and education on new technologies and languagesDatadog values people from all walks of life. Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
