JOB TITLE: Receptionist
STATUS/HOURS: Part Time - Daytime Hours (Mon-Thus: 2pm-8pm; Fri: 11am-2pm)
DEPARTMENT: Admissions
REPORTS TO: Admissions Office Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing multi-line telephone system, greeting visitors, handling incoming/outgoing mail, and performing routine clerical tasks for the admissions department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer and direct calls
Keeps track of daily inquiry log
Responsible for retrieving & routing voice mail messages
Greets and assists visitors
Directs visitors to appropriate party
Provides prospective students with information sheet
Comfortable with making calls to returning students
Supports open house functions.
Prepares new student acceptance letters
Prepares other correspondence as needed
Supports the Admissions and Academic Department
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Ability to meet and deal effectively with students and visitors
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all associates
Requires good planning, organizing, and communication skills
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
EDUCATION
Associates degree from an accredited college preferred.
