SUMMARY Bering Global Solutions (BGS), LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Human Performance Optimization Contract. The Data Scientist who shall assist the active-duty program manager to devise and apply techniques in data analytics for analysis of data related to human performance to ensure appropriate return on investment metrics for program longevity and aircrew lifecycle management. This role is critical in supporting the US Air Force mission to optimize pilot readiness and effectiveness through data-driven insights and advanced analytics. Salary Range = $115,000 to $125,000 Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. Key Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to: Use of statistical methods to collect, organize, and report data to the program office for program return on investment and to inform on lifecycle management of aircrew. Track and present actionable metrics for qualitative assessments and scale data management and outputs IAW the Governments needs as necessary. Advise the program office on data collection types, techniques, analysis, and integration to meet the organizations unique needs across various domain types. Develop reports and custom request for users. Provide actionable reports and provides program office with professional, viewable, and printable reports suitable for Air Force Leaders. Advise on enhancement of data collection and management procedures to include all relevant information for program objectives. Process, cleanse, and validate integrity of data used for analysis. Analyze large amounts of information and data to find patterns and advise program office on solutions. Assist in the development of prediction systems and machine learning algorithms. Collaborate with partner entities for research and investigation at the discretion of the program office. Works with Software Developers to research architecture for new products, services, and features. Ensures data security measures and methods are current and implemented throughout the data lifecycle. Work with clients to develop comprehensive operational and strategic data analytics plans/solutions. Help developers structure input and analytic tools and processes within the data management system. Provide a service that manages all data, with the understanding that all data belongs to the government and must be return to the government upon request.
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. In lieu of degree, an active programming language certification(s) or training/certificate(s) obtained within the last 3 years. 5 years combined experience with Data Analysis, programming, Statistics, Python, Computer Vision, data visualization tools, excellent written/verbal communication. Experience in aerospace industry, test pilot/astronaut or similar man-machine high-performance environment preferred. Proficient understanding and working knowledge of computer, e-mail, voicemail, and telephone texts to perform duties. A National Background Investigation (NBIS) is required to obtain access to IT Systems with the possibility of a requirement to obtain a Secret clearance. Preferred NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervisory responsibilities. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
