ARSIEM seeks an
Information Systems Security Engineer 2 . This position will support one of our government clients in Annapolis Junction, MD.
ResponsibilitiesPerform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability and non-compliance with established.Cybersecurity standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.Validate and verify system security requirements definitions and analysis and establish system security designs.Design, develop, implement and integrate Cybersecurity and security systems and system components, including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to include those with multiple enclaves and differing data protection/classification requirements.Build Cybersecurity into systems deployed to operational environments.Assist architects and systems developers in identifying and implementing appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application of Agency security policy and enterprise solutions.Support the building of security architectures.Enforce the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures.Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the system development life cycle.Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations.Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation to provide feedback on the completeness and compliance of its content.Support security authorization activities in compliance with NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, and prescribed NSA/CSS business processes for security engineering.Minimum Qualifications
Twelve (12) years of experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, including recent experience within the last five (5) years with Cybersecurity principles and technology, including access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, PKI, network and enterprise security architecture is required.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.Four (4) additional years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Required Certifications (one or more): CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLPRequired Capabilities
Participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environmentsApply Cybersecurity policy, procedures, and workforce structure knowledge to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.Interact with the customer and other project team membersParticipate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of Cybersecurity architectures, systems, or system componentsSupport the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architecturesSupport security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk managementIdentify overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government dataProvide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management
Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active TS/SCI with a polygraph. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
