Laborers perform mainly physical labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials. This position performs such duties as a fire watch, cable puller, an electricians helper. Laborers may also assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of equipment. Laborers complete simple routine tasks under close supervision from lead type personnel.**Responsibilities:*** Moving and un-crating of equipment* Moves supplies and materials to proper location by hand or hand trucks* Loads and unloads trucks* Installation of electronic equipment, banding cableways, pulling cables, lagging* Travel to job sites as required by the PM and IAW the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR)* Use of power tools* Paints small areas as needed* Sweeps and cleans up behind technicians**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:*** Position requires High School Diploma or equivalent* Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.* At least one (1) year experience performing duties in a Laborer role.* Must be a US citizen* Consistent with Presidential Executive Order 14042, you must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19. The Executive Order generally requires that federal workers and federal contractor employees be fully vaccinated by January 4, 2022**Work Environment & Physical Demands:*** Applicants also must be willing to work more than 40 hour work weeks.* Ability to work in a shipboard industrial environment.* Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).* Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
