Senior Business Intelligence Analyst - Work Team Lead

GENERAL PURPOSE

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst - Work Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in helping MillerKnoll make data-driven decisions by managing the processes and systems that collect, store, and analyze data. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst - Work Team Lead will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of multiple data sets and visualizations that provide actionable insights to support strategic decision making. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across Operations including quality, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and procurement. Emphasis will be placed on team leadership, ability to plan, and ability to achieve results through individual contribution and team leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform functions related to requirements definition, data analysis, data automation, visual analytics, and BI tool utilization in a highly agile environment.• Provide ad-hoc/special project data analysis for business leaders, enabling them to achieve goals, drive decision making, impact new strategies and make improvements.• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Supply Management teams, becoming the go-to resource for analytical support.• Navigate within established technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format the correct data for data analysis.• Identify and define data assets that relate to critical business functions. Modify and run queries and standard reports from data tools and provide to users.• Build scalable data architecture and re-usable analytics assets for broader consumption within the organization. Seek opportunities to improve data collection, identify links among datasets, and drive global alignment.• Ensure that processes and services are continuously monitored for data accuracy, reliability, integrity, and quality. Engage in process and quality improvement activities, including defining and maintaining data governance to optimize data quality and transparency.• Develop business acumen within the Operations function and stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and use of emerging trends in the field of business intelligence.• Continually improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the work team through investing in the growth of work team members, through the adoption of new and improved tools, through the elimination of systemic waste in the work processes, and through additional means where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business Intelligence, data analytics / science, database systems, or relevant academic discipline preferred.• 5 years of professional technology experience.• 3 years of experience in report development, business analytics, business intelligence, or comparable data engineering role.• Proven experience in leading technical projects or project teams.• Proven ability to assess priorities and determine course of action with minimal day-to-day supervision. Be able to anticipate, recognize, and respond effectively to changes which affect project plans.• Experience with AI/ML (preferred).

Skills and Abilities

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.• Experience with building front-end dashboards using Tableau.• Working knowledge of ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) concepts for acquiring, cleansing, and combining diverse and disparate data sets (preferred).• Intermediate-level experience with Alteryx.• Working knowledge of SQL to query large and complex data sets, test query results, and tune query performance.• Working knowledge of a data analytics programming language such as Python (preferred).• Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas regarding data analysis in an understandable, clear and concise manner.• Curiosity and passion about data, visualization, and solving problems.• Creativity to determine the best solution for a real-world problem with quantitative data.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

• Alteryx Core Designer (preferred).• Tableau Desktop Specialist (preferred).
