Join Our Payer Strategy & Contracting (PSC) Division
Our PSC Division guides clients through payer strategy development, reimbursement analysis and design, contract negotiations, and other strategic and operational issues affecting commercial and government revenue streams. As part of our team, you'll help our clients optimize their managed care portfolios and develop successful value-based reimbursement strategies and contracts.
Our PSC engagements include work with inpatient, outpatient, professional, behavioral health, post-acute, and payers. We assist clients primarily in the three areas:
Contracting and Reimbursement
Our Contracting and Reimbursement practice is an industry leader on healthcare payment reform and accountable care strategies for large, complex healthcare organizations, including major health systems and provider-owned health plans. We help our clients:Develop innovative payment approaches.Negotiate contracts.Devise reimbursement strategies.Improve revenues.Value- and Risk-Based Payment Programs
We offer our clients comprehensive value- and risk-based payment program development services, including planning, implementing, and optimizing value-enhancing care models. Common projects include:
Value-based readiness assessments and payment design.Care model and reimbursement strategy.Medicare Shared Savings Program, ACO Reach, or commercial accountable care organization development.Clinically integrated or regional affiliate network development.Assistance with Medicaid managed care program participation.Patient-centered medical home transformation.Population health service organization establishment.Support for participation in grant-funded or governmental programs.Payer Services

Your Responsibilities May Include:
Leading appropriate client presentations.Leading information-gathering efforts.Conducting stakeholder interviews.Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets.Leading project management.Analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting data to inform client recommendations.Using financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.Defining project analyses and deliverables.Leading teams and implementing recommended solutions.Working on multiple engagements.Communicating project progress and seeking input.Identifying follow-on opportunities and helping scope and close such engagements.Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG's senior consulting leaders.Presenting results to our clients' C-suite leaders.Taking responsibility for project outcomes.Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff.Learning about ECG's breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests.Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life.Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networksOur Expectations of You
Strong knowledge and passion for the healthcare industryMaster's degree in business administration and/or a health-related field; bachelor's degree in business or a health-related field preferred3+ years of experience in healthcare consulting and managed care contracting and reimbursement strategiesProven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projectsDemonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skillsTrack record of strong client serviceDemonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilitiesAdvanced Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python skillsStrong written and verbal presentation skillsAbility to travel at least 30% of the time
Job Locations
Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Diego, St. Louis or Washington DC. Atlanta, Boston, and Washington, DC preferred. This position has in-office responsibilities. Must be able to work a hybrid schedule with days in the office and days remote.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $123,000 to $138,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG's pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG's benefit plans, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, and other wellness programs.
