Overview:

The UofL Health Marketing and Communications Department is seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated, mission-driven intern interested in communications. Working under the direction of the communications director, the intern will have opportunities to assist in developing internal and external communications campaigns, storytelling, copy writing, special events and a variety of tasks throughout the entire department.The department runs as the in-house advertising agency for UofL Health. This intern will have a clear understanding of the fundamental aspects of working in a creative ad agency or marketing department. For more information visit UofLHealth.org.Responsibilities:Evaluate and develop ideas for internal communications, blogs, social media and more.Write website copy, internal flyers/posters, blogs, newsletter content and employee profiles.Maintain internal communications content calendar.Make updates to the UofL Health employee intranet and extranet.Other duties as assigned according to interests and talent.In addition to the focus in communications, this intern will gain experience in all elements of marketing and communications efforts, including website, social media, public relations, video production, strategic communications and marketing.Qualifications:Working toward a degree or a recent graduate in English, communications, marketing, advertising or health care administration.Professional, polished and a team player.Ability to focus on the small details in a large project.Excellent communication skills (oral and written).Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and WordPress.Organized and detail-oriented.Good with time management and meeting hard deadlines.

Other Requirements:Applicants should be available 16+ hours per week on a regular schedule. (Actual hours to be determined).Reliable transportation to and from the office.Must have received a COVID-19 vaccine.
