And were passionate about your success.**JOB DESCRIPTION**We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Transportation Department as a Delivery Driver. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Transportation Team with objectives including:* *Safe and timely delivery and unloading of products to customers within an assigned route** *Strict adherence to DOT Regulations and Nicholas and Company Safety Policies** *Demonstrating excellent customer service***What its like to work in the Transportation Department at Nicholas and Company*** We are committed to providing a safe work environment. We provide monthly safety refreshers, stretching, providing safety tips, and recognizing each other for working safely.**On a normal day/night you might:*** Perform pre-trip and post-trip in accordance with DOT regulations and Company procedures* Operate Samsara computer to track stops and location* Operate Driver Pro Scan Delivery at each stop* Safely operate and deliver product within assigned route schedule using hand cart or by hand* Transport product on ramps, stairs and/or docks* Place product in designated customer delivery area* Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem solving skills; report customer issues immediately* Obey all traffic rules and immediately report accidents or damage; report repair issues immediately* Immediately notify supervisor/sales etc. for any delivery variance via Samsara* Maintain sanitary conditions and meet standard hygiene requirements* Check invoices for credit terms at each stop and collect funds when needed* Collect, sign, and correctly code all invoices* Turn in reconciliation sheet along with collected funds and invoices to Driver Check-In on a daily basis**On some days/nights you might:*** Operate a tractor trailer in traffic and in variable weather conditions* Participate in formalized training and successfully pass evaluations* Must be flexible to travel and work both night and day routes**An ideal Transportation team member:*** Is at least 21 years old* Possesses a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with clean MVR (no more than one ticket)* Meets all DOT requirements and possess current medical card* Has one year of commercial driving experience* Is able to read, write and communicate with internal team members and customers as it relates to the job and to safety regulations* Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills* Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills* Must be able to lift 20-100 lbs. repetitively**Hourly Pay Rate** :* $21.00 per hour plus incentive after training* Hourly pay rate is determined by location**Benefits:*** Medical, dental, vision insurance* 401k with match* HSA with employer contributions* Wellness program with premium incentives* Tuition reimbursement up to $4,000 per calendar year*Must pass pre-employment testing including drug testing, ergonomics testing, and background check**EOE/AA/M/F/VET/DISABILITY**Drug Free Workplace***If this role excites you; tell us why, wed love to hear from you!**
