Job SummaryThe Regional Vice President of Sales leads the nationwide Sales team for Darling Ingredients' Restaurant Services business, inclusive of Managing Directors, Outside Account Executives, Inside Sales Development Representatives, and Business Development initiatives, and is responsible for driving growth throughout the organization via profitable raw material collection by way of our existing customer locations and new business acquisition. There is a strong emphasis on customer contact and relations, and the use of CRM tools to ensure the team is performing to expectations and meeting the required metrics and key performance indicators. The role reports to VP of Restaurant Services on both performance of employees and on customer relations and sales efforts.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Supervises (Senior) Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives within defined scope and territories as appropriate.Maintains current account base through personal contact of major brands, builds relationships with key operations people in territory, interreacts with both customer base and sales base to ensure consistent and correct messaging.Communicates opportunities and challenges up and down the organization verbally and in writing, including identifying and analyzing competition by way of market share and gross margin maintenance.Teaches employees how to interpret the company P&L, raw material values, and how to gauge potential impact of new customers to the bottom line.Supports the efforts of the Customer Engagement Center (CEC) both internally and externally to help grow the business.Works with Marketing to identify market opportunities and explores ways to best approach both new and existing customers.Participates and organizes trade shows, conventions, and other activities relative to our business; ensure that all leads developed during these shows are assigned to the correct person(s) for follow-up and completion.Works closely with entire management team to provide quality service to customers while helping Plants maintain efficient handling of service requirements.Meets with senior level Operations partners in-region on a monthly basis to assess business health and operational metrics.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in related area or in lieu of degree, 15+ years of equivalent related experience.Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing or a role where the candidate has worked directly with end-customers.Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience.Preferred QualificationsExcellent math skills, including statistical analysis.Highly organized; superior time management skills.Travel overnight as required.Computer skills as necessary.Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.Self-motivated; self-starter; extroverted personality.Work well with all levels of the corporation.Physical DemandsFrequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.Occasionally must push, pull, move or lift up to 75 lbs.Long periods spent sitting at desk in front of computer screen.Regularly required reach with hands and arms.Work EnvironmentJob functions will be carried out in an office environment, customer location, plant environment and vehicle.Darling Ingredients is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration to qualified applicants without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or, protected veteran status.
