This position requires more than safely steering and operating our vessels. We're looking for strong, experienced Pilots who drive a high-performance culture onboard the vessel.Job Description

Vessel compliance with USCG and environmental laws and regulationsSafety of the crew, vessel, environment and towing operations through use of Ingram's safety systems, policies and the "rules of the road"Supervision of the Mate and Deckhands in consultation with the Captain and Operations/HRPracticing good seamanship and boat handling skillsAssisting with performance evaluations of crew membersDelegating vessel responsibilities, duties, and tasks considering crew members' experience and abilitiesAssisting with safety meetings and drillsMaking locks and bridgesEffectively steering tow up and down riverAssisting with training of deck crewBasic critical thinking and decision making skills to tow building and lockingAssisting with administrative dutiesPerforming other job duties as assignedQualifications
