Sourcing and Procurement Manager
to join our team. Reporting directly to the Global Procurement Manager, you will manage a professional team of sourcing experts and optimize our sourcing strategies. This hybrid/remote position offers the flexibility of working from home with the requirement of being on-site three days a week. To qualify, you must reside within a commutable distance to Burbank, CA; Avon, MA; Wallingford, CT; Grand Prairie, TX; Huntsville, AL; Atlanta, GA; Mojave, CA; or Sylmar, CA. If you're ready to take the next step in your career with a global leader, apply today!Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the purchasing of services and supplies necessary for operating the organization, including machinery, equipment, tools, and raw materials.Partner with the Coatings and Sealants, Sales, and S&T teams to identify, support, and manage material availability to meet production needs.Support PPG's Coatings and Sealants Science and Technology Labs when supplier issues arise and implement resolutions.Attend required meetings with suppliers and partners to support our needs and continuity of supply chain.Communicate with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing regarding inventory levels.Review proposals for price, delivery time, and quality, and select suppliers accordingly.Institute and promote cost reduction projects.Direct the purchasing function, including managerial and administrative responsibilities and authorize purchase orders.QualificationsTwo (2) years in a lead, supervisory, or managerial role in Supply Chain, Production Purchasing, or related experience required.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline required.Experience in business process analysis, lean and six sigma, quality assurance, strategic sourcing, team facilitation, materials management, QAD, ERP (e.g., SAP), and cost reduction strategies preferred.APICS certification preferred.Ability to travel up to 25%.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Salary Range:
