Health and wellness programs and MORE Who you are: As a Programmer Analyst for Johns Hopkins Health Plans (JHHP), you are as comfortable behind the scenes as a Healthcare/Insurance Analyst as you are in front of your customers; as you work closely with a team of analysts and developers to design, develop, implement and maintain departmental and enterprise wide batch processing systems. You are the go-to as you have the experience developing, architecting and administering job scheduling tools such as Active Batch or similar enterprise scheduler software. What you'll do: Monitor and maintain the performance of software applications throughout the enterprise. Designs and implements all new Active Batch jobs according to project request requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring, managing and reacting to batch and scheduled jobs, system upgrades, SFTP processing, and communicating with JHHPs leadership and internal IT/ project teams when setting up jobs. This critical position requires excellent troubleshooting skills, acute attention to detail, and heavy interaction with internal business users, sys admins, developers, and DBAs to resolve production issues. We are seeking a skilled Systems Support Administrator to oversee all operational aspects of our Health Plans batch processing and job scheduling operations. In this role, you will be responsible for administering the JHHPs Health Plans batch processing system and ensuring the timely execution of critical business processes. Additionally, you will design and implement new Active Batch jobs in alignment with project request requirements, playing a vital role in the efficiency and reliability of our IT infrastructure You serve as point of contact for resolution of complex software problems. What you'll bring: 3 years' experience in Healthcare/Insurance analyst support role Strong database-related development skills (complex SQL queries, complex store procedures and user-defined functions in SQL Server) Advanced understanding of structured programming, types of databases, file structures, and programming tools Experience with application integration and solving problems relating to system interoperability Familiar with healthcare HIPAA 5010 Transaction sets (e.g. 834, 835, 837, 820,274,276,277, 270 and 271) and have proven experience developing, architecting and administering EDI/ API applications in a Healthcare setting using HIPAA mappings. Facets experience a plus. Experienced working with Facets and Facets data models and data extracts Experience working with Facets online modules such as billing, provider, claims and membership modules. The technical skills we'd like you to have: Applications: Cognizant FACETS, SQL Server SSIS, Apache Tomcat, Java, ACTIVE Batch. Proven experience in administering batch processing systems, preferably in a HealthCare Insurance/ Clinical IT environment Proficiency in job scheduling tools such as Active Batch or similar enterprise scheduler software Strong understanding of batch processing concepts, job dependencies, and scheduling best practices Experience in designing and implementing batch jobs to meet project requirements Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to establish and meet work schedules within limited time frames and under tight deadlines. Willing to work off hours as needed in support of changes to the computing environment. Requires a professional level of knowledge in software development or equivalent as normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Target Salary Range: Minimum 35.53 per hour - Maximum 57.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
