First American Trust is seekinga motivated Scrum Master with 3-5 years of experience to facilitate scrum ceremonies, coach and mentor teammembers, help Product Owners to manage their backlog, and assist in release planning.
What You'll DoDrive effective scrum ceremonies including daily standup, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesTrack and distribute relevant metrics and report periodically to show team progress and velocityIdentify, understand, and track impediments; help remove them and drive improvements to optimize how the team worksHelp the Product Owner manage customer expectations and stakeholder communicationsAct as a liaison between the team and everyone else to minimize interruptions to the sprint, keeping the team focused on delivering a quality product on timeBuild a safe and trusting team environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgement, with an emphasis on problem solvingRepresents the team in the Scrum of Scrum and the ART SyncHelps the team prepare for PI Planning and guide the team during the event to complete all of their tasksDemonstrates a growth mindset by coaching the team and Product Owner on how to improve their practices to excel at scaleWhat You'll BringDemonstrated experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.):Skilled in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparencyDemonstrated ability to build, develop, and coach high-performing software development teamsAbility to thrive in a fast-moving environment and work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of workExperience being on Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes/organizations/cultures)Demonstrated experience in issue identification and resolutionModerate to expert-level knowledge of JIRA or other agile tools to measure team productivity and report metricsMust possess and utilize exceptional communication skills to keep teams operating at maximum efficiency while also ensuring that senior leaders and executive management are always informed of progressQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related fields3-5 years of using Scrum agile methodologyMust be a Certified Scrum Master (CSM)Experience training and managing Scrum teamsExcellent communication and mentoring skillsAdaptable and flexible in a cross-functional environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead retrospectives, document outcomes, and guide team members in best practicesScaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience or certifications a plusExperience working on API teams a plusPay Range: $71,500-110,000This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
