Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of Advanced Technologies at Auburn University at Montgomery ( AUM ) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated data scientist to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data-driven solutions to complex business problems, as well as developing and maintaining machine learning models to improve decision-making processes. The candidate selected will:

Develop and implement data-driven solutions to complex business problems Design and implement machine learning models to improve decision-making processes Analyze and interpret large, complex data sets to identify trends and patterns Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into data-driven solutions Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations Stay up to date on the latest trends and techniques in data science and machine learning Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong programming skills, with experience in languages such as Microsoft .Net, PHP , or Java Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or PyTorch Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or Tableau Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience working with large, complex data sets Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS Experience with data engineering tasks such as data cleaning, feature engineering, and data transformation

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics
