Beaufort Memorial, a not-for-profit hospital, is excited to bring its Emergency Department services in-house and is seeking additional board-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our dedicated team.
About the opportunity:Join a team of board-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practice ProvidersVarying shift lengths: 8, 9 or 10 hour shifts - mostly day shift, some nightsAverage patients per hour is 2.0Diverse case mix wiht no shortage of procedures; proficiency in all ER procedures expected24/7 in-house support from Anesthesia, Pediatric Hospitalists and HospitalistsTrama surgery available on-callAccess to a wide range of on-call specialties: Othopedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, General Surgery and Vascular SurgeryIntensivist coverage in-house from 7A-7P; Hospitalists cover ICU overnight with intensivist on callThe ED does not respond to hospital airways or codesFAST track option available for ESI 3-5 patientsPosition Requirements
Must be familiar with a wide range of ailments, diseases, and disorders and injuries. Develops treatment plans individualized to the patient's needs. Implements treatment plans, writes orders for medications, treatments, tests, and provides patient care. Perform minor procedures for which they can exhibit competencies.
Education:
Current South Carolina M.D. or D.O. required.Experience:
Must have successfully completed a post-graduate residency programCertifications/Licenses:
Must have a valid, current and unrestricted SC medical license.Must have current state and federal controlled substance licenses.
