Our client is a plaintiff-side law firm expanding into Washington and seeking a fearless, driven, and detail-oriented Attorney. The ideal candidate will have at least four to nine years of experience, know how to balance compassion and diligence, thrive in both collaborative and independent efforts, possess confidence and has an entrepreneurial spirit. This position involves representing employees in legal claims related to Washington wage and hour laws. This position will play a major role in the litigation of employment-related claims before federal and state courts and arbitrators.
Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include defending and taking depositions, drafting meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery issues, arguing motions, drafting motions (including discovery and dispositive motions), conducting arbitrations, preparing for and attending mediations, and preparing cases for trialPerform in-depth legal researchCommunicate with outside parties such as attorneys, employers, law enforcement agents, administrative agencies, etc.Managing all aspects of cases, ensuring all deadlines are met, staying organized and multi-tasking to achieve priorities in a fast-paced environmentAid in the expansion of our thriving California practiceThis position involves representing employees in legal claims related to Washington wage and hour laws.This position will play a major role in the litigation of employment-related claims before federal and state courts and arbitrators.Requirements :
JD RequiredMinimum 4-9 years relevant legal experience, including substantial experience litigating and managing complex casesExpertise in plaintiff employment with focus on wage and hour LawLitigation Skills: including experience with all stages of the litigation process from pre-litigation investigation through mediation, trial and appeals, are essential. This includes drafting pleadings, motions and briefs, conducting depositions and arguing in courtCommunication and Advocacy: excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for effectively representing clients, negotiating settlements, and presenting complex legal argumentAble to work effectively independently or within a team.The ideal candidate will have at least four to nine years of experience, know how to balance compassion and diligence, thrive in both collaborative and independent efforts, possess confidence and has an entrepreneurial spirit.WA bar license
