Overview:

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Dartmouth Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide diagnostic evaluation and management of acute medical complaints for children and adults, presenting to the New London Emergency Department. Primary responsibilities for all patients include ordering diagnostic testing,laceration repair, incision and drainage of abscess, remove foreign bodies, slit lamp exam, splinting of common fractures, prophylactic rabies care, performing simple procedures within the advanced practitioners scope of practice, prescribing medications and ensuring an appropriate disposition plan. Note that Physician Assistants provide all care under the oversight of their registered supervising physician.Founded in 1918, New London Hospital is a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital serving 15 communities within the Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee region in central New Hampshire, providing primary care and specialized clinical services in a patient and family centered environment.
