The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Westchester Medical Center Health Network is recruiting for multiple full-time faculty members in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM). The MFM Division serves as a resource and referral center for 15 hospitals and obstetrical care providers from the seven counties of the lower Hudson Valley in the State of New York. The division is part of the Regional Perinatal Center in collaboration with a state of the art Level 1 NICU with robust academicfaculty and a large neonatalfellowship program. The division is involved in state wide effort in maternal collaborative in improving maternal morbidity and mortality and addressing health care disparities in Obstetrical care. The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has a four-year accredited residency with four residents each year. The division offers a diverse work environment including inpatient and outpatient perinatal consultations, management of high-risk pregnancies, perinatal diagnosis and ultrasound, antepartum testing and perinatal outreach. The division will be evaluating to apply for a fellowship in MFM that it held once previously as it rebuilds the necessary components for such a process in the near future. A new FetalHome, a state of the art outpatient facilitieshas been built and will open shortly.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology and have completed an accredited fellowship in MFM (Board Eligible/Board Certified) by the time of their joining the Division and be licensed or eligible for licensure in State of New York. They are expected to possess and exhibit passion for excellence in clinical care, teaching along with excellent communication, interpersonal skills and being a positive team player.
Experience:
The ideal candidate would have demonstrated ability and experience in managing medical, surgical, obstetrical, fetal and genetic complications of pregnancy and working collaboratively with other obstetric care providers in consultations, co-management, and transfer of care. Proficiency in high-risk perinatal ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided procedures is highly desirable.They are expected to be active in divisional, departmental and College-wide educational and research programs involving residents and medical students.
