Target hiring range for this position will be between $78,482 to $88,752 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.Job Summary:The associate director is the functional expert and manager responsible for developing & managing key leadership giving efforts for the law team such as reunion class gift fundraising and other leadership gift fundraising initiatives across major markets. The associate director is responsible for meeting with alumni and stakeholders in major markets for the purpose of advancing reunion fundraising, developing leadership donors, and engaging volunteers. This role is responsible for developing broad-based strategic relationship management plans and programs designed to identify & cultivate prospects and alumni in meaningful ways to deepen their relationship with Northwestern Law. The associate director will assist the senior associate director with overall law school fund strategy and serve as the program lead for all reunion class gift fundraising activity.Northwestern Pritzker Law prides itself on its active and diverse community, which brings together a passionate and talented group of students, staff, and faculty. Law School leadership commits to working tirelessly to ensure every member feels valued, all students can study and train to be successful in their careers, all staff members can develop personally and professionally, and where our faculty can both teach and support our students and produce top quality research and scholarship.Specific Responsibilities:Strategic PlanningResponsible for developing annual strategic plans for key annual giving programs, including reunion class gift fundraising.Coordinate overall reunion fundraising strategy and work with individual class liaisons on developing and executing solicitation strategies, volunteer recruitment/management.Personally manage at least four reunion committees annually in collaboration with the alumni relations team.Responsible for administering and maintaining existing strategic plans relating to specific market segments, programs, and donors to meet goals for engagement and participation.Generates data and measurement tools to analyze and assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and programs. Develops new strategies and tactics based on analysis.Prospects & GiftsDevelops, plans, and implements strategies and goals for key leadership giving prospects and proactively works to develop donor pipeline.Identifies leadership giving prospects and potential volunteers and develops individual annual engagement plans.Identifies, researches & personally solicits gifts of $10K - $50K by managing a portfolio of approximately 150 prospects annually.Solicits at least 20 five-figure gifts annually.Ensures proper stewardship and solicitation follow-up.Provides necessary documentation and follow-up to donors, volunteers & internal contacts and inputs all volunteer and alumni activity in database.Works collaboratively with the Major Gifts team to develop strategic relationships in major markets.AdministrationManages development and execution of programming and marketing related to engagement and solicitation.Articulates program goals and timelines.Provides work direction to colleagues or collaborators.Updates alumni records and contact activity in database.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.SupervisorySupervises 1-2 staff &/or provides work direction.Provides training to staff within or outside of immediate department or division in regard to function.Miscellaneous:
