They work closely with new and existing customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to deliver their missions. Building and maintaining relationships with customers and internally with engineering and operations teams is at the core of our Business Development team. works with our teams to create compliant, compelling business proposals that result in winning new business with U.S. and international customers.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:Develop and execute proposal plans, analyze RFPs, create outlines and compliance matricesEngage with Capture Manager to craft proposal strategy and develop compelling messagingCreate compliant and compelling proposals that clearly and succinctly address the RFP requirementsEnsure on-time delivery of proposals and document lessons learned to improve processesPerform volume lead and writing assignments in support of other proposal managersYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in a technical, management, or business discipline5+ years of proposal experienceExperience leading proposals with values greater than $10 millionExperience leading proposal volumes and/or performing as a writer on proposalsTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:Experience with agile processes and toolsActive US security clearanceUnderstanding of satellite and launch vehicle industriesExperience with tools including Salesforce and SharePointExperience with organizational effectiveness and operations implementing best practicesStrong attention to detail requiredStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to organize, balance and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly dynamic environmentStrong computer skills including MS Office required (particularly Word)ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be willing to travel as needed (~10%)Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focusRegularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writingMust be physically able to commute to buildingsOccasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noiseWHAT TO EXPECTWe're on a mission to unlock the potential of space to improve life on Earth, but that's not an easy task.
