Together, our team members work hard to help patients become parents while helping each other grow to reach their full potential.We are seeking a per diem (RN) nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team in Fort Worth, Texas.The schedule varies from 6:00 am - 3:00 pm and 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.Working hours depend on how many procedures we have per day.We are looking for candidates that can pick up 2-3 shifts per month.No weekends required.How You'll Contribute:We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the ASC RN is responsible for:Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plansPerform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgeryProvide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family membersDemonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedationAdminister medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directedProvide patient educationWhat You'll Bring:The skills and education we need are:Active RN licenseCurrent BLS and ACLS certification2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferredStrong technical and clinical assessment skillsAbility to access, input, and retrieve information from a computerAbility to work independently and demonstrate good judgmentAbility to communicate accurately and conciselyMore important than the best skills, however, is the right person.
