Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing:
Review system scans and other artifacts for vulnerabilities or non-compliance
Review Software Assurance Scans for vulnerabilities
Provide input on recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities
Aid system engineers in support of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to ensure systems successfully achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO)
Track patches, new security risks, and vendor errata updates for applicability to the sites
Assist in POAM efforts with program personnel
Ensure security baselines are kept in sync to include patching and scanning efforts
Assists with the containment of threats and remediation of the environment during or after an incident
Follow change management process and security policies
Review and understand security policies and guidelines to create security work instructions for various security policies
Other duties as assigned
100% onsite is required in Huntsville, AL working on the Redstone Arenal
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree and typically 5+ years of related professional experience
Must have 1 DoD 8570.01/8140.03 Certification: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC), or Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
Must currently hold a Top Secret clearance and be eligible for SCI.
Hands-on experience enforcing information protection policies for all environments
Desired Qualifications
Experience with DoD and United States Space Force (USSF) Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes/procedures
Knowledge of DoD Zero Trust strategies and implementation of it to a program
Experience providing system security engineering guidance for DoD customers
Familiar with the system authorization process and necessary security artifacts
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
Top Secret with SCI eligible
