Power Field Service Engineer

The Power Marine Field Service Engineer (FSE) works independently to install, modify, test, repair or inspect company products and equipment including, but not limited to: low voltage and medium voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, protection relays and Automation systems. This individual performs or coordinates complex and diverse engineering activities associated with field projects, and interprets technical drawings and schematics and makes changes as necessary in the field to reflect work carried out on site. The FSE provides technical advice to customers on site and remotely, and works closely with project managers to coordinate site activity. Assume the role of site manager on some projects. This person provides leadership in the assembly and operation of lab and field service equipment as well as records, compiles, and reduces data for analysis and assists in the subsequent assessment and reporting. The FSE leads assigned field services: responsible for planning, analysis, and reporting of projects ranging in complexity from simple to advanced. This individual ensures quality and safe operations in the field and reports opportunities and problems to management. The FSE prepares timesheets, service reports, expense reports and other documents immediately following the work assignment. This person assists the business development unit with technical knowledge for generating quotations and proposals and performs all other duties assigned.

* Alternately a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments

* Strong knowledge of protection relays and excitation

* Familiarity with marine/offshore work environment and procedures

* Candidates must already have a valid passport that allows for international travel

* Candidates must be able to travel roughly 75% of the time
