Job Summary

Business Intelligence Developers (BIDs) have some of the broadest responsibilities on the Cogito Team. Under the direction of the Cogito Project Manager, the Business Intelligence Developer use all of Cogito tools to retrieve and analyze data from all of Epics databases. The have primary responsibility for Epic hyperspace reporting content such as Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, and Slicer dicer. The Developers are responsible extracting required data from Epics reporting database Clarity using MS-SQL and SSRS for visualizations. The Developers are also responsible for the Caboodle Data Warehouse, where Epic and Non-Epic data can be joined in a meaningful way and consumed by end users via Slicer Dicer.

Core Job Responsibilities

Coordinates with Operational Owners and Application Analyst to design, build, configure, test, and validate Radar Dashboards, components, resources, and metrics.Works with end users at every level of authority to ensure Reporting Workbench reports to meet user requirements including RW summaries and where necessary adds new columns and criteria as appropriate.Uses MS SQL for clarity reporting and RW SQL for chronicles reporting effectivelyUses SSRS to deliver summaries and visualizations of Clarity data extracting using SQLEffectively recommends appropriate reporting tool option based on Operational Owner input.Develops, builds, tests, validate and schedules extracts to meet 3rd party specifications for approved projects as designated by Cogito Project Manager.Work with Cogito systems and 3rd party vendors to bring external non epic data in Caboodle for leveraging against Epic data at the direction of the Cogito Project Manager.Utilized the IT Helpdesk ticketing system effectively to identify Cogito Analytics related tickets and distribute for resolution as appropriate.Effectively uses Epic User Web for project/problem tracking via Sherlock tickets as well as keeping up on assigned nova notes associated with SU packages and upgrades.Participate in version upgrades on a scheduled basis to keep applications and users currentParticipate on performance improvement teams/projects, serving as a reporting resource in support of the project charter.Perform other duties as required.Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in Information Services, a related field, or equivalent experience.3 years of experience in IT or an analytical clinical discipline.MSSQL knowledgeProficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar applications.Excellent communication (verbal and written), analytical, team, and time management skills.Ability to exercise tact and good interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to complete assignments independently, solve complex problems and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.Demonstrated understanding of healthcare organizations, ancillary systems, and health system operations.PREFERRED:SSIS/SSRS experience3rd party BI tools experience (i.e. SISENSE, TABLEAU, CRYSTAL)Licensure/Certification Requirements
