Extruder Machine Operator

DAPA Products, Inc. is seeking applicants for the position of Extruder Machine Operator.
Duties: Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles). Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Measuring and examining extruded products in order to locate defects, and to check for conformance to specifications. Adjust controls as necessary to alter products. Start machines and set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, and temperature, and to synchronize speed of extrusion. Reel extruded products into rolls of specified lengths and weights. Clean work areas
Skills, tools, and technology desired/required for this job: Use of common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection is required.
Pay and schedule: Current openings are for second and third shifts. Pay is $14.50/hr for first 90 days, with 3rd shift differential pay of .50.
Age, Education requirements, Driver's License, Hiring requirements: Minimum age of 18 due to hazardous nature of work. No formal education required, however, a high school diploma or GED is preferred. No Driver's license required.
