As they expand their team they are looking for an application engineer to join their team onsite.Job DescriptionIdentify current and future equipment requirements by establishing a relationship with potential and existing accounts. Provides product, service, and equipment information by answering questions and requests.Communicate within engineering department for the generation/modification of system schematics and layouts for every single material handling system proposal and order.Provide overflow support to engineering department for flow schematics and layouts.Provide overflow support to engineering department for mechanical, electrical, and control related work.Use product knowledge to properly size and specify equipment for each customer's application.Develop OEM and Vendor relationshipsProvide product development group with input for creating new products to enhance the existing product line. Make recommendations for modifying existing products to improve features, reduce cost, and/or extend useful service life.Participate and in Auxiliaries seminars and selected shows and exhibitions where products are featured and presented.Maintain a "Customer Friendly" attitude whenever dealing with customers internally and externally.Travel 10-20%Expense reports due in professional manner, within the month (4 weeks of travel).Complete all bill of materials for sold Material Handling Systems.Be able to support Material Handling System sizing.Application sizing of beside the press material handling and auxiliary equipmentCreate and maintain estimate records for current and future use by engineering and sales personnel.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful ApplicantCandidate must have a firm understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts.Candidate must be skilled with Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Excel.
