The Banyan Network Engineer assists in the daily operations of information technology (IT) operations for Banyan Medical Solutions, providing Level 3 and 3.1 support for Layers 2 and 3 across the entire security product estate, liaise with clients and vendors to resolve issues, develops, and refines best practice and assist with improving current and designing future state implementation on an international Fortinet, MS 365, Azure Cloud and Physical Network. The Banyan Network Engineer creates and maintains Banyan High Security access control VPNs, IPSEC, Metro E, on Physical Fortinet and Microsoft Azure Cloud as well as Azure Cloud printer routes, VOIP traffic, and VLAN troubleshooting.

During down times, Banyan Network Engineer will refine MOP’s and Polices as they relate to the position, test, maintain, and harden network, as well as work with the Banyan Systems Administrators and Desktop Support on task completions as needed. The Banyan Network Engineer may also work with the Azure Administrator, MS365 Endpoint Administrator, and SharePoint Developer to develop and troubleshoot autopilot provisioning packages, B2B, B2C, SSO issues.

Banyan Network Engineer | Responsibilities Knowledge, and Skill Requirements

Develop, install, and document network infrastructure, configurations, and equipment such as routers and switches, as well as Azure virtual network routingImplement data security systems such as firewalls, virus protection software and data backups/redundancy in Azure/SharePoint data storageMonitor networks and troubleshoot issues and outages on a proactive basisPerform routine network maintenance, including installing firmware upgrades and service packsConsult with clients to suggest network solutionsMentor junior employees and provide training resources for team membersTest and install new computer systems, hardware, software, and applications as they relate to networkingDevelop engineering design packages to integrate new processes into existing ones, including on Prem to Hybrid to Cloud via Azure and AWS (Amazon Web Services)Collaborate with clients, vendor services, and network providers to ensure the quality of networksHands on knowledge with security system products - Specifically, FortiGate / Fortinet and MS 365 Defender Endpoint/ Azure/Exchange integrationUnderstanding of packet flow analysis using tools such as WiresharkIn-depth knowledge of Security Best practices and TCP/IP technologiesExperience in TCP/IP, dynamic routing and L2/L3 network protocols implementationExperience in security products and technology (e.g., Firewall, IPS, DDoS)Experience in system integration on a multi-vendor environmentExperience in managing and deploying wireless network technologyExperience with Windows 2012-22 servers and Windows Hyper VExpertise with Azure Cloud networking including VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) and International Routing protocols.Effective communication and written skills in EnglishSense of urgency and capability to handle tense situations at every turn.Positive, communicative, self-starter, out of the box thought process, and customer-oriented attitude Required.Physical Requirements
