THOR Solutions is seeking a junior-level Cybersecurity Analyst to contribute to a contract at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) in Panama City, FL. The Analyst will support National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation packages per DoDI 8510.01 and NAVSEA business rules for multiple Assess and Authorization (A&A) efforts across Air Cushion Vehicle (ACV) Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) environment, ACV Afloat Sites, Landing Craft Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems, and operational Landing Craft.

Typical Responsibilities:

Technically support A&A status for all applicable IT systems within the applicable ACV RDT&E Lab and Landing Craft programs.

Respond to Cyber directives to support Landing Craft program and NSWC PCD RDT&E environment.

Provide design, set up, installation, test and technical support for RDT&E and Landing Craft systems.

Integrate hardware, firmware, and software into the Landing Craft and RDT&E system.

Develop, test, and implement scripts.

Perform user and system security administration.

Test and support security patches and upgrades in an RDT&E environment.

Assure compliance with Government security requirements and audits, including compliance with all applicable Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and supporting documents.

Maintain a current working knowledge of relevant Cybersecurity statuses, regulations, directives, and policies including but not limited to: Federal Information Systems Management Act (FISMA), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-130, Department of the Navy (DoN) CIO Memo 02-10, SECNAVINST 5239.3B, OPNAVINST 5239.1C, DoDINST 8500.01, DoDINST 8510.01, Authority to Operate (ATO), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), Vulnerability Remediation Asset Management (VRAM), Retina Scans, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Platform Information Technology (PIT).

Location: Full time onsite at NSWC PCD in Panama City, FL.

Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion. Periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. May involve: traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.

US Citizenship Required: Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment.

Existing Secret Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must already possess an active full or interim Secret clearance and maintain it for the duration of employment.

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Infosec, or a related field (preferred), or Technical/Military School completed in Cybersecurity, Infosec, or a related field.

At least one to two (1-2) years of recent, relevant professional experience performing cybersecurity duties such as the following. Experience gained in a US Navy/DoD environment is highly preferred.

Install, support, troubleshoot, and maintain RDT&E servers and computer systems.

Plan for and respond to service outages and other issues.

Provide appropriate user training on RDT&E systems.

Support the DoD Information RMF process.

Ensure network vulnerability scans and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) updates are performed within the specified time frame for compliance.

Ensure the integrity of the data on the RDT&E system and the efficiency of performance of the system.

Schedule regular backups and ensure the RDT&E data is maintained in accordance with the CDMP and with all disaster recovery plans.

Support RDT&E hardware and software procurement efforts in support of lab users.

Handle installation and testing of software applications on RDT&E systems.

Perform required inventories of lab IT assets and respond to data calls.

Regularly collect and report IT metrics.

CompTIA Security+ certification is required, either at time of hire or obtained within 60 days of hire.

Proficient with common productivity software including Microsoft Office.

Strong communication skills.
