The IT Team supports CCE programming, communications, and business operations by providing and maintaining communications and collaboration systems and technologies**What You Will Do**As the Desktop Support Specialist, you will provide computing and network support to the regional IT Leads as well as consultation to CCE Association staff as needed. You will serve as the primary administrator of CCE desktop, backup, and security systems. In addition, act as administrator for the CCE helpdesk system. You will address client requests for system and application help via helpdesk requests, phones, and in-person visits. As part of the CCE Information Technology team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the effective identification and resolution of issues having a system-wide impact. Other responsibilities include:* Providing administration, analysis, and system support on desktops, laptops, and servers, including diagnosing issues, planning upgrades, and implementing proper security measures.* Creating and developing training documentation, including webinars and user manuals for clients* Analyzing problems and system requirements and making recommendations* Identifying, investigating, researching, and resolving computing and networking problems; advocating for and implementing unique and innovative solutions.* Conducting hardware and software audits of workstations to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.* Coordinating technology-related purchasing.* Leading projects by creating, adapting, integrating, and deploying new services, software, and hardware.**What We Need**We are looking for a talented IT professional that excels at building and maintaining effective relationships with multiple stakeholders. We need someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment with numerous operating systems, hardware platforms, and applications. Additionally, we need someone who has:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of experience with systems and applications support for Windows and Macintosh systems in a networked environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Proficiency with a range of hardware (Dell personal computers, Apple Macintosh, and a variety of peripherals), operating systems, software (internet and networking applications), and services (consulting, workshops/training, documentation).* Strong ability both to rapidly learn and understand technical material.* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to people with a wide range of technical sophistication.* Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment.* Ability to help establish realistic goals and deliver work on schedule.* Ability to analyze needs and solve problems in a networked computing environment. This involves understanding the interactions of multiple services on several different computer operating systems using a variety of network protocols.* Must be willing to shift focus and respond to computer emergencies as needed.
