The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Laboratory Science and experience working in a Clinical Laboratory setting.Responsibilities:Performs verifies and reports results of moderately complex lab tests including but not limited to: chemistry immunochemistry and immunology.Uses good communication skills while interacting with patients physicians nursing personnel and co-workers.Performs moderately complex therapeutic drug monitoringPerforms required quality control and quality assurance assessmentPerforms testing completely accurately within established timeframes and according to established policies and proceduresEnters quality control and test results into information systems accurately and within established timeframesQualifications:
One year of experience as a Lab Assistant or Technician in a clinical laboratory preferred.AA degree in chemical physical biological or clinical laboratory science including a minimum of 36 semester units of physical or biological science from an accredited college or university.Continuing education requirements must be maintainedKnowledgeable in MS Windows Operating System MS Word and MS Excel.Current CA MLT license.Current Los Angeles City fire card is required.
