Section Head of Oncology

based on track record and experience.The successful candidate should have a national reputation in the field of pediatric hematologic malignancies and possess a vision for the growth of all aspects of a thriving program and section, including its clinical, research, educational, and advocacy missions. The qualified applicant will have a strong track record of research/scholarly productivity, experience in program development, and demonstrated mentoring and leadership skills. We ultimately seek an outstanding candidate to lead the Leukemia/Lymphoma Program and Oncology Section to the next level of excellence.The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Lurie Children's Hospital and the Division of Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation are nationally ranked by U.S. News & World and comprise 28 physician faculty, 3 research faculty, and 39 advanced practice providers across sections of Hematology, Oncology, Neuro-Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation. We have a diverse federally funded and industry-sponsored research portfolio and actively participate in consortium-led studies in the Children's Oncology Group, the Therapeutic Advances in Childhood Leukemia (TACL), and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC), among others. We also have an outstanding ACGME-accredited fellowship program with 10 current fellows.Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and be board-certified in pediatric hematology/oncology. Academic rank will be determined by track record and experience.
