Description
This position performs the tasks required to determine eligibility for Weatherization services. The Auditor will perform a variety of checks within the residence to improve the energy efficiency and health and safety of the residence. Examples of work to be done include Completing blower-door and pressure pan tests, Inspecting ductwork appropriately, Conducting worse case draft tests on each home with a draft appliance, Inspecting and testing of water heaters and furnaces. This job requires both office computer work and home visits. Computer work will include searching for history of home repairs, creating a scope of work orders after the inspection and other program document. Home visits include manual inspections of crawl spaces and attics. The auditor may be required to perform insulation and air sealing work.
Requirements
Ability to use a computer.Ability to use all measuring and testing equipment.Must be a licensed driver with proof of ongoing auto insurance coverage.Ability to obtain competency for Energy Auditor, and retain through Continued Education and required retesting.Ability to obtain 10 Hour OSHA Safety card.Maintain Safety.Ability to create / review work scope and identify staffing and material needs.Prepare and maintain tools on site.Prepare and maintain job site.Become familiar with NEAT/MHEA and WaWeb. Implement.Developing and maintaining good working relationships with homeowners and subcontractors.Installation of attic insulation and air sealing.
