As a Cybersecurity Systems Administrator, you will manage and administer key network security infrastructure including firewalls, IPS, VPNs, and load balancers. You'll monitor security logs and network traffic to identify anomalies, manage malware prevention systems, and ensure web filtering integrity. Additionally, you will install and maintain security solutions, contribute to automation using scripting languages, and participate in the planning and implementation of security projects. Administer network security systems, collaborating on tasks related to firewalls, IPS systems, VPN concentrators, NAC, load balancers, and other internet security systems. Contribute to monitoring firewall and intrusion detection logs, the Extended Detection & Response (XDR) portal, and analyze network traffic for potential anomalies. Provide input in interpreting network activity and contribute to recommendations for resolution. Administer malware prevention systems, with a focus on AI-enabled endpoint protection. Participate in ensuring the deployment of protection across computer systems, contributing to routine assessments for virus and malware-free environments. Administer web filtering systems, contributing to managing and tracking user internet activity. Generate Internet usage reports and address management requests for insights at a user level. Install, configure, and maintain a comprehensive array of security software and hardware solutions, applying best practices to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and security. Participate in optimizing configurations to enhance performance, efficiency, and security. Develop foundational scripting and coding skills in Python, PowerShell, or other relevant scripting languages. Begin leveraging scripting and automation for foundational security tasks, including basic threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and response automation. Contribute to initiatives aimed at introducing automation to security processes within the IT environment. Follow scripting best practices, including version control and documentation. Collaborate with IT teams to understand and support basic automation strategies. Participate in planning and contributing to the design, building, and implementation of security solutions. Contribute to ensuring the protection of company information, emphasizing availability, integrity, confidentiality, and availability. Assist in developing technical documentation and procedures for securing systems, servers, networks, and Internet systems, under guidance. Collaborate with senior team members to research emerging products, services, protocols, and standards to enhance security. Support in recommending, scheduling, and participating in security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases. Coordinate small projects or project task related to medium, and large projects, working alongside internal and external resources and consulting partners. Contribute to developing and implementing performance metrics, ensuring projects align with specific Statements of Work. Support efforts to maintain the expected quality of service while managing project costs effectively. Contribute to research and analyze new technologies, detailing their pros and cons, including cost implications and recommendations. Communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Enhance communication skills to engage in critical discussions and resolve conflicts across different groups. Engage with vendors and partners, asking pertinent questions to clarify their offerings for your team. Break down technical analysis into accessible discussion points for non-technical staff, using examples, diagrams, and presentations. Actively participate in incident response activities of medium and large complexity. Maintain organized documentation of troubleshooting processes and solutions, adhering to industry best practices. Provide 2nd level of support to the Service Desk team, contributing expertise in handling security incidents. Demonstrate effective communication skills, collaborating with team members and conveying technical information clearly and concisely. Understand and articulate the principles of SAFe Agile methodology, actively participate in agile processes and improve team collaboration (Training will be provided) Your Education and Experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field required 3 years' experience in relevant Security Systems Administration Working and engaging in an Agile team environment a plus CISSP or similar certification is a plus Our Story.
