Description
LACO Technologies is seeking a part-time temporary software developer to assist in writing and testing software for a microcontroller-based test controller. The software is simplified C# subset programmed with Visual Studi0 IDE. Our perfect candidate must have a thorough understanding of modern programming tools and architecture. Qualifications are listed below.
LACO has in-house programming resources but would like to increase our capacity and speed in software development. LACO uses Azure Dev-Ops to manage programming projects, workflows, and revision control.
Immediate programming needs for a software developer are for 5-20 hours per week for the next 6-9 months. Long-term, LACO has programming needs for both PC and mobile based apps utilizing Ethernet and Wi-Fi communications with the test controller it is anticipated that projects would run on full .NET platform.

Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' experience with C# (.NET) development.At least 4 years of overall software development.Candidate must be willing to thoroughly test their code and understand the product being tested.Candidate should excel in project management and communication.Experience in the following protocols is preferred: CAN, Serial (232/485), Modbus, and Ethernet (Wi-Fi and wired)Embedded software and hardware design a major plus.Role/Responsibilities
Develop and test software for new products.Be software owner for products.Interface with customers and make continual improvements to software.Learn helium and air leak testing technology.Manage all electrical schematics and bom's.Work closely and effectively with internal and external engineers.Troubleshooting on embedded systems and other hardwareEngineering support as needed during system design and project planning.Competencies

$45 - $70 an hour.Work Hours:
This is a part-time temporary position. This position would also work great for someone who wants to do freelance work. 5 to 20 hours per week for the next 6 to 9 months.
