GIS Analyst- Shreveport, LA
Halff Associates has an immediate opening for a GIS Analyst. The desired candidate would enjoy working on a variety of types of projects with other industry professionals and be both team oriented and self-motivated. Responsibilities include creating and editing geospatial data, creating static maps and publishing web maps. This includes but is not limited to working with enterprise geodatabases, LiDAR and terrain datasets, ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Online. Working in a team environment, the position also assists in data reporting, data review and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has the willingness and ability to work on a variety of teams in different capacities.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geology, Computer Science, or other discipline related to GISTwo years of experience with the Esri suite of GIS softwareProficient in ArcGIS Pro 2.xAbility to troubleshoot technical issues, and improve workflowsAccountability for successful completion of tasksFamiliarity with water resources and/or public works-related applications of GISAttention to detail and ability to produce quality workTechnical communication skills
Desired Skills:
Understanding of database management best practicesInterest in staying current on uses and applications of geospatial technologyModel builder or python for workflow automation preferredCollaboration skillsQA/QC implementationStrong work ethic
