Summary:

Selective Insurance is excited to share a new opportunity for an Information Security Analyst to join our Security team! This role will protect enterprise information systems and data from intentional or accidental destruction, disruption, or modification while minimizing the impact upon those who need legitimate access to the data. You will also be responsible for the identification and escalation of security risks, anomalies, or threats to senior members of the team or the Manager, IT Security.

Responsibilities:

Maintains and monitors identity management, authentication, and access to systems and data, defining specific access to network, files, and database management systems. Responsible for the creation, administration, and support of cryptographic keys and systems.Works with senior team members and the Manager, IT Security to identify, recommend, deploy, and manage security software, solutions, or services.Supports audit activities sponsored by internal, retained, or external audit areas. Assists with the collection and retention of documentation and execution of remediation plans as agreed to with the IT Management Team.Works with vendor contacts regarding security system updates and technical support of security products.Acts as a first responder to manage critical issues that may affect clients and completes status and statistical reports in assigned area as required while offering potential solutions for consideration. Informs management.Supports senior team members and the Manager, IT Security in partnering with legal and audit departments to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirementsSupports security system upgrades and installations; assists with installations and changes to automated operations.Analyzes the work unit, monitoring the work-flow efficiency and/or operation productivity. Provides recommendation back to management on potential changes based on industry trends and best practices.Participates in the development of Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.Qualifications:

1 - 3 years' experience in Information Security or Risk Management roles.Bachelor's in computer science, management information systems, business administration, or related discipline is preferred.Ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.Working knowledge of current techniques and hardware capabilities of a large-scale database and data communications environmentKnowledge of national and international regulatory compliances and frameworks such as NIST-CSF, ISO-27000, SOX, BASEL II, EU DPD, HIPAA, and PCI D.

Salary range: $78,000 - $112,000 The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include the candidate's qualifications and experience.
