What you will do?

As the

Special Events Coordinator

you will orchestrate special events throughout the year, making these events consistently efficient, cost-effective, engaging and memorable. Comfortable in a leadership role, the Special Events Coordinator is able to evaluate and negotiate with vendors, drafting service contracts and managing communications with a diverse group of contacts. Specific responsibilities include:Coordinates fundraising special event logistics, publicity, public relations, collateral materials, communications and volunteers for all enterprise-wide fundraising events.Collaborates with Fund Development Team and Executive Team to create new and/or improve current events to further raise funds for programs and engage with the community.Communicates event and promotional details with Communications Team to advertise events.Demonstrates responsibility for in-kind donations and solicitations for each event.Coordinates enterprise-wide in-kind donations.Manages all aspects of volunteer event committees and volunteer coordination, including but not limited to staffing, recruitment, supervision, training and acknowledgement.Collaborates with staff and external personnel for enterprise-wide department events, including events with Foster Care and Adoption, DEI and community engagement and enterprise-wide events that benefit Four Oaks.Creates follow up communication plans, sends thank you notes to all agency donors, and coordinates with the communications department on any acknowledgements or media notices that need to be shared.Maintains detailed records within the company CRM in a timely manner, document event details and gather reporting details for the organization.Supports and carries out the mission of Four Oaks and the Affordable Housing Network, Inc.Develops and maintains close relationships with various constituencies within the community.Gets involved with the community at large as well as with appropriate professional organizations as encouraged by the management team.Project-manages the organization-wide Day of Caring projects.Follows agency policies, including personnel and programmatic.Participates in the agency, demonstrates team participation, and evidences a work-place philosophy that enriches staff's ability to reach goals and provide a high level of customer service.Develops professional and personal growth through opportunities and involvement.At times, staff will be required to perform additional duties beyond those specified. Qualifications & Program Information

What you need:

You need a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of two (2) years professional experience in event planning, communications or development.
