QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another computer-related field.Graduation from high school, technical school, and/or equivalent experience (3+ years) will be also be considered. Applicable technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, ITF+, Security+, etc.) are highly desirable.Considerable technical work experience in informational technology, data management, installation of software, computers and peripheral equipment, network devices, security cameras, door access systems, etc.Experience troubleshooting/repairing various operating systems (Windows 10, Mac OS, Apple IOS, Android, desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, IPads, tablets, printers, interactive panels, etc.).Background clearance through FBI and ABI processes.A current Alabama driver's license is required.Ability to work an eight (8) hour day and overtime as requested.Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work in a fast-paced independent/team environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Onsite and remote troubleshooting of break/fix hardware issues, installation/setup/maintenance of various educational technology hardware, software/image deployment, LAN support, and troubleshooting.Make recommendations as to replacement, repair, and purchase of hardware and software items to enhance the performance of MPS technology and equipment programs.Assists with network device monitoring/management/installation, asset inventory, special project implementation, and end-user training.Assume all reasonable job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor in order to meet the needs of the department.
