Job Overview
Reporting to the Supervisor of Controls, the
Energy Systems Engineer
provides an understanding of the potential impacts of incorrect pressurization (positive or negative pressure in specific spaces), of improper humidity and unacceptable temperatures in spaces ranging from the Research Resource Facility, to labs where biological and chemical research is conducted to general educational and living spaces.
They also apply their knowledge energy management and network engineering principles and human comfort conditions to optimize the operation of mechanical systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provides technical support for the operation and maintenance of University's automation and data acquisition systems to ensure continuous, effective temperature and humidity control in University's buildings Monitors and analyzes data collected for accuracy and makes recommendations for energy savings. Repairs, calibrates, modifies and upgrades electronics, instrumentation and programming for proper, efficient and accurate operation of the automation and data acquisition systems Work Mode Designation

Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline 5 years of experience on maintenance of mechanical equipment - with at least 2 of those years on computerized controls Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic and pneumatic systems and controls and networking principles Computer literacy and written and oral skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a small or large team
Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $54,616.00 - $100,493.33
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
