Job Description:
Technical/Functional SkillsAs a Production Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our systems by collaborating closely with infrastructure partners, development teams, and other stakeholders.You will be responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting issues, managing incidents and problems, and following up for timely resolution.The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be capable of working collaboratively as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with infrastructure partners and development teams to resolve production issues promptly.Analyze and troubleshoot system issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Triage incidents and follow problem management protocols through to resolution, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues and prevent recurrence.Work effectively in a shift-based environment, including rotation weekend support as needed.Primary Skill:
Oracle SQL / PLSQLSecondary Skill:
UNIX/SHELL SCRIPTSTertiary Skill:
JavaScriptRequired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience in production support or a related role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with incident and problem management processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.Willingness to work in shifts and provide weekend support on a rotational basis.Adept with Oracle, Autosys, Unix.
Desired Skills:• Certification in ITIL or relevant areas.• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
