Overview:

Work in the heart of #humankindness at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson.As an ER Nurse at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, youll be the first touchpoint to the people in our community during health emergencies. This is a full-time position.No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. Youre a multitasker who can react quickly as youll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while youre providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, youll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.To thrive as an ER nurse, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care assisted and residential living communities community health services organizations home health agencies and numerous outpatient facilities.While youre busy impacting the healthcare industry, well take care of you with benefits that include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, and more!Eligible for $20,000 sign on bonus**!!Responsibilities:Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patients condition as needed.Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc.Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Candidates must hold an RN license that qualifies them to work as an RN in North Dakota (either an ND RN license or a compact RN license issued in another state)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must obtain ACLS within one (1) year of hire date.

Must obtain TNCC within one (1) year of hire date.

Must obtain PALS within one (1) year of hire date.

Must be proficient with computers and computer applications in the healthcare setting.

Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
