The Telemetry/Stroke Unit at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. Cornell 1 also cares for TIA, acute stroke, and post procedural neuro cases that stepdown from ICU. This 30-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:4 or 1:6 depending on patient acuity levels and is well supported with additional patient care technician, educators, and a strong leadership team.Requirements:Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing ProgramBSN or MSN preferred.Registered Nurse LicenseStudents in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing LicenseBLS within 90 days of hire.Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hireAs a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career.
