Job Overview On-Call Hospice RN:Join our client's team as an On-Call Hospice RN, providing compassionate care to hospice patients and their families in New Jersey. This role involves conducting assessments, coordinating care, and offering support to ensure a high standard of hospice services.
Compensation: $53/hourLocation: Sussex County, NJSchedule: Flexible Shifts (Rotating Weekends)
Responsibilities as the On-Call Hospice RN:
Patient Care:
Conduct assessments and follow the established care plan for hospice patients.Medication:
Administer medications and document treatments accurately.Coordination:
Communicate with healthcare teams and families to coordinate care and address patient needs.Education:
Provide patient and family education on care plans and medication use.Documentation:
Maintain detailed and timely patient records.Support:
Offer emotional support to patients and families, fostering independence and self-direction.Qualifications for the On-Call Hospice RN:
Education:
Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor s in Nursing (BSN preferred).Experience:
1+ years in adult, pediatric, or medical/surgical clinical care (hospice experience preferred).Licensure:
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey; PA licensure if practicing in PA.Skills:
Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.Application Notice:
