We are building a network of qualified talent for general consideration of future full time Network Engineer job openings.GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in supporting the corporate office of United Parks & Resorts, located in Orlando, Florida.
The Network Systems Engineer role is to ensure the stability and integrity of voice, data and wireless network services. This is achieved by being by administering the network infrastructure including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network Engineer will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless and other hardware.
Configure and administer networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs.Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.Provides guidance to junior members of the team.Evaluates and tests data, voice, or video networking technologies to establish their potential use. Designs appropriate testing routines or scripts; may conduct more complex testing to meet specified requirements.Analyzes data, voice or video network documentation and assists in communicating to management regarding the current operational status of networks.Provides consultation, support and guidance to IT Project teams and other departments.Participates in discussions regarding project decisions and project direction at the executive level.Recommends data, voice or video network investment decisions to management and customers based on results of independent assessment of current and future network performance, stability, and network management issues.
Qualifications
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:2 or more years of experience in data, voice, or video networksFirepower 1120 series, 4100 series and Firepower Management Center in-depth experienceCisco ISE in-depth experienceWireless (802.11) in-depth experience (troubleshooting, Administration)2+ years, Supporting LAN's, WAN's, TCP/IP, and associated networking in an enterprise data center environment2+ years, in-depth working experience using routing protocols (i.e., EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP/VRRP, etc.Previous experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Cisco devices (i.e., Routers, Nexus switches, Catalys Switches, Prime/DNA.)Previous experience configuring and troubleshooting Meraki devices.PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:CCNA, or CCNP certification a plusFamiliarity with Silver Peak/Aruba SD-WAN preferred5+ or more years of experience in data, voice, or video networks5+ years, Supporting LAN's, WAN's, TCP/IP, and associated networking in an enterprise data center environment5+ years, in-depth working experience using routing protocols (i.e., EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP/VRRP, etc.ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:A passion for IT tempered by real-world experience, a collaborative team spirit and business-enablement mindset, a penchant for continuous personal and professional growth, and the ability to work independently with little or no supervision.Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.Self-motivated, works under minimal supervision, and willingness to see projects throughExperience working within theme park environments, entertainment venues, and the hospitality industry.Availability to work nights and weekends when changes are being implemented.Available to travel up to 10% of the time.Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field/work experience preferred supplemented by 4 years of progressive IT experience.Hybrid schedule, with availability to work onsite in Orlando, FL, as needed.
